Aaron Gordon Requests Trade From Orlando. Aaron Gordon has reportedly requested a trade from Orlando after seven inconsistent seasons that saw the Magic sneak into the playoffs two times as a seventh and eighth seed.

Gordon has been in trade rumors over the past few seasons, especially with the surge of Magic forward Jonathan Isaac. When Isaac returns next season, the Magic will look to rebuild with Isaac and point guard Markelle Fultz as the faces of the franchise.

The trade deadline is March 25th, and numerous teams have called about Gordons availability. Teams such as the Celtics, Trailblazers, and Warriors have been in talks with the Magic about a possible trade.

The Magic have a pretty high asking price for Gordon. However, teams are hesitant to pull the trigger for a player whos been somewhat inconsistent and has struggled with various injuries. He has only played in 23 games this season.

Gordon also is only 25 years old and has untapped potential. He has shown promise in his seven seasons, but it never really led to much team success. His biggest accolades have been a few iconic dunk contest performances.

The Celtics are likely to make a run at Gordon to help with a playoff run. The team has underperformed this season and currently sits seventh in the Eastern Conference.

The team is fresh off a trip to the Eastern Conference Finals and had expectations of a possible finals run this season. However, the solid play from their all-stars Jaylen Brown and Jayson Tatum hasn’t equaled the success the team wanted.

Gordons future in Orlando is unclear before the March 25th deadline. He is due a lot of money over the next two seasons. So, it would be wise of the Magic to try and get some value in return for the forward.
