Jake Paul and Mike Tyson will lock horns on July 20 this year in a heavyweight boxing match at the AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas. In addition, the fight will be streamed live on Netflix.

This will be the first time Netflix will stream combat sports and the third sports event after The Netflix Cup and The Netflix Slam. The former is a golf tournament participated by F1 racers and PGA Tour players. The latter is a tennis match between Carlos Alcaraz and Rafael Nadal.

Paul, the social media superstar turned pro boxer, has 10 flights under his resume. He is 9-1 in those bouts, with six victories coming by way of knockout. His only loss came against Tommy Fury, the younger brother of former undisputed heavyweight champ Tyson Fury.

Meanwhile, Tyson has 56 fights with 50 wins and six losses. He amassed 44 knockout victories, but at 57 years old, he’s nowhere near the prime of his career. Tyson fought last November 2020 in an exhibition match against Roy Jones, Jr.

A fan with the handle @I_AM_SATURDAY blasted both Paul and Netflix for promoting the bout:

“I said it once and I will say it again.

Jake Paul claiming to be a boxer while preying on retired combat sports athletes who have sustained a career’s worth of injuries is one of the most utterly pathetic displays of cowardice I have ever seen in my entire life.

Mike Tyson is 57 years old.

Stop encouraging this clown. You’re a joke @jakepaul

Netflix – you’re a joke for promoting it as well.
