One Punch Man Season 3 was confirmed way back in August 2022. The last time fans got a taste of this action-packed anime was back on July 3, 2019, when Season 2 ended. It’s been four years since then, and a lot have been asking where is its third season.
Thankfully, the official One Punch Man account on X/Twitter released an official promotional art.
Fans are also discussing which studio will take the challenge of animating Season 3 as there is no news about that just yet. Madhouse animated the first season, the same studio that animated Hunter x Hunter and Parasyte. However, Season 2 was passed on to JC Staff, a studio that animated famous romance animes such as Toradora and Maid-Sama.
Overall, fans are just content seeing Season 3 animated on their screen hence they could accept any of the well-known animating studios. All except Mappa, who are currently known for overworking their staff.

Moreover, there are heavy speculations that Season 3 will be released this 2024, with the English version confirmed and released right after. Furthermore, there was a four-year gap between Season 1 and 2 of One Punch Man making 2024 a good guess for the third season.

All eyes are on Saitama, who Makoto Furukawa will voice in the Japanese dub. The same actor also voiced Gepard from Honkai: Star Rail and Sylvain from Fire Emblem: Three Houses.
Meanwhile, Max Mittelman will be in charge of the main character in the English dub. He showcased his talent as Plagg from Miraculous: Ladybug & Cat Noir, and Ryuji Sakamoto in Persona 5 Tactica.
The second main character Genos is voiced by Kaito Ishikawa, the same man behind Kiyoka Kudo from My Happy Marriage. His English counterpart is Zach Aguilar who is also the famous David from Cyberpunk: Edgerunners
Plot Of Season 3
It is no surprise that Season 3 will pick up where Season 2 left off. The good news is that fans are in for a ride as Season 3 will cover the longest arc in the One Punch Man Manga: the Monster Association arc. To add, the arc started back in 2017, and it only ended in 2021, with 91 chapters in total.
Seasons 1 and 2 of One Punch Man covered the first 85 chapters and/or 16 volumes of the original manga. Season 3 will start on chapter 86.
From here on out, we’ll give audiences a spoiler warning to avoid knowing major plot points.
Chapter 86 serves as the introductory chapter for the Monster Association Arc. The Hero Association is on high alert as they recognize Garou as a Dragon Level threat.
The Monster Association Arc is the 15th arc on One Punch Man and the sixth one on the Human Monster Saga. Manga fans love this arc, making it one of the most famous ones. Their praise includes how hyped and action-packed a specific Garou fight was. They also acknowledge Murata’s—who is One Punch Man’s animator—skills as the art was very detailed.
To give audiences a tease of what’s to come, here are the titles of the arc’s subplots
- Declaration of War: The Monsters Gather
- The Heroes Counterattack: Garou’s Last Stand
- An Unlucky Encounter: The Dine and Dasher Incident
- Final Preparations: Prelude to Invasion
- Garou’s Revenge: Taking on the Monster King
- Invading the Monster Association: The Heroes Attack
- Evils Combine: Duel of the Espers
- Battle on the Surface: The Cadres Emerge
- Garou’s Awakening: Master and Pupil
- Divine Retribution: The Pinnacle of Martial Arts

What to Expect?
So far, all manga readers seem to highlight three main things that anime fans should look out for in One Punch Man Season 3.
Fans will get to see all the S-rank heroes as there will be an attempt to recruit them all. The highest-ranking hero, Blast, will also be making an appearance. Next would be the full invasion of the Hero Association.
Lastly, Garou, also known as the Hero Hunter, will grow into a bigger threat. His goal to become a stronger villain eventually results in making him a main target in the Hero Association’s eyes.
And that is everything about One Punch Man Season 3. The first and second seasons are available on Crunchyroll worldwide. It is also available on Netflix, but only in specific regions.
