The Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) is interested in Pedro Pascal becoming the new Reed Richards, more known as Mr. Fantastic, in their upcoming Fantastic Four movie.
Pascal received the offer after Jake Gyllenhaal, who played Mysterio in Spider-Man: Far from Home, refused. This update isn’t final at the moment, as negotiations are still ongoing, per Deadline.
Fans can expect Fantastic Four to air on May 2, 2025, as part of the ongoing Phase 5 of the MCU. Movies under this phase include The Marvels, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, and more. Additionally, Matt Shakman will be the director of the new Fantastic Four as he takes over for Jon Watts.
Some Fans Don’t see Pedro Pascal as Reed Richards
With this new update, people are debating on Twitter and Reddit whether Pascal is truly suited for this role.
