Just mere days after the conclusion of Season 1 of Batwoman, Ruby Rose has shockingly exited her role as Batwoman.
The Australian actress didnt give a reason to her departure from the show, but she did give the following statement: I have made the very difficult decision to not return to Batwoman next season. This was not a decision I made lightly as I have the utmost respect for both the cast, crew and everyone involved with the show in both Vancouver and in Los Angeles.
Ever since her announcement, fans everywhere have speculated as to why Rose left the show. Variety reported that the reason for her exit was the major time commitment required as the series lead. This may have led to tension between the actress and production. This report has not been confirmed.
Batwoman, one of the many shows in the Arrowverse, had already been renewed for Season 2. The show will now recast for the lead role.
Stephanie Beatriz, best known for playing Roza Diaz on the hit show Brooklyn Nine-Nine, hinted on Twitter yesterday that she has an interest in the role.
The CW has already confirmed that the role will be recast with another LGBTQ+ actress. Stephanie Beatriz also added in the comments of her tweet: Legit did dye my hair red last month.
