Larian Studios posted a new blog post on Nov. 2, 2023. It covers everything new in Baldur’s Gate 3 Patch 4, which is live starting today. Players should ready themselves for a huge update as the studio announces “over 1000 fixes, tweaks and changes.”

This isn’t an exaggeration. Many fans and game journalists even commented on the length of the new patch notes. Not even Steam itself can handle it, as it passes over the word limit.

This article will cover noteworthy patches for version number v4.1.1.3882084. With that said, here is an official warning for any potential spoilers this article may mention.

If players want to see the whole list themselves, it can be accessed over here. However, as we said, the list is too long. It would be easier if players press ctrl+f and search for any bug or feature they can think of.

For any player that has any issues with color, Larian Studios has added a feature that may make the game more enjoyable. Generally, there are three options within the Accessibility tab, namely protanopia, deuteranopia, or tritanopia. Players can choose any of these to suit their needs.

As a result, these settings will tamper with character outlines and circles, character map markers, frame portraits in turn order, and party portraits.

Players can check the site itself for a visual comparison of the three different modes.

Larian Studios shows promise in making their game more convenient with these recent patches. It is no wonder that it’s the highest-rated game on PS5 and in general for a while. Furthermore, both PC and console players can enjoy this masterpiece due to its cross-play feature.

The Hirelings have received numerous updates in the previous patch notes. Baldur’s Gate 3 Patch 4 is no exception. Players can now customize the Hirelings to their heart’s content. They have a say in their appearances and style.

Moreover, some have noted this update as a follow-up update from Patch 3, where players can change their character’s appearance via Magic Mirror.

Previously, a handful of fans said that Act 3 may be the ‘worst part’ of Baldur’s Gate 3. Larian Studios noticed this; hence, Patch 4 has over 50 updates regarding it.

There are big and small story and dialogue updates. Additionally, a specific boss fight in Act 3 was adjusted to make it more challenging for the players.

Withers’ Wardrobe

The previous patch introduced this feature. However, players have speculated that this was an immediate response rather than a permanent and stable feature. Finally, Patch 4 improved it. The Withers explain the brand new feature in the new patch, making the entire experience less confusing for the players.

Furthermore, the option to dismiss dead avatars through the Withers’ Wardrobe was also added.

All in all, there are a lot more patches players can find on the official site. Larian Studios has gained the hearts of the fans. Each patch they released since launch is filled with many drastic improvements.
