Fortnite’s latest launch trailer showcases their post-apocalyptic map littered with Fallout items with a slight hint of Mad Max. They also show off new skins that match their current theme of the post-apocalypse.

Fortnite Is Pulling Out All The Stops

This season is looking to be one of the best—a post-apocalyptic landscape, a collaboration with Fallout and Metallica. Who could’ve seen that coming?

It’s already hyping people up to return to Fortnite as they showcase new vehicles, terrain, and items. Moreover, there are also new skins that are unlockable in the battle pass and item shop.

The new skins are Megalo Don, Ringmaster Scarr, Peabody, The Machinist, Rust, T-60 Power Armor, Wasteland Magneto and more!

Furthermore, the trailer also confirms the teaser of laser weapons being usable in the new season. Not only that, but cars get a post-apocalyptic tune-up à la Mad Max with ramps and guns on the roof. The vehicles have spikes and pointy parts all over the place.

Meanwhile, a new Nuka Cola is usable, as seen in the 0:58 part of the trailer. It’s a consumable that heals your health and shields. You also get to keep the bottlecap, too! This might just be a cosmetic thing to add more immersion to the Fallout collaboration, but it could also be a new currency.

New Post-Apocalyptic POIs

Along with new vehicle mechanics, you’ll be able to visit new areas that are heavily post-apocalyptic. You can find three new Points of Interests (POIs). They’re aptly named Redline Rig, Nitrodome and Brutal Beachhead.

There’s also the new mechanic of being “Nitro-fied” which can affect players or vehicles. It provides movement speed and lowers stamina/fuel consumption respectively. It buffs vehicle ramming damage and attack mods. Meanwhile, it improves the player’s reload speed and provides fall damage immunity.
