Grand Theft Auto 6 is still a while away for gamers. However, at least they’ve made the release window smaller for fans who can’t wait for the release. Bad news: it’s further into 2025 than the expected “Q1” expectations many had.

Grand Theft Auto 6 Might Be Rockstar’s Biggest Game To Date

GTA 6 is still a year away from gamers, and that’s sad. However, at least the community can now celebrate the release window as being more specific. There is bad news with it, though. Thanks to Take-Two Interactive’s fiscal year report, gamers can finally have an official release window.

It claims, “As we enter Fiscal 2025 with positive momentum, we expect to deliver Net Bookings of $5.55 to $5.65 billion. Our outlook reflects a narrowing of Rockstar Games’ previously established window of Calendar 2025 to Fall of Calendar 2025 for Grand Theft Auto VI.”

They expect a good return on the game, and they’ve set the date to be around Q3 of 2025 or the fall of 2025. That’s one piece of the bad news; fans must wait more.

Bad News Abound

Moreover, there’s even more bad news for PC gamers. Development of the game is only confirmed for the Xbox Series X | S and PlayStation 5. This has always been the case since Grand Theft Auto 4’s release. However, Rockstar has consistently released a PC port a year or so after.

While it’s unlikely that PC gamers will be able to play it on day one, there’s still hope it’ll release earlier than the usual year-long wait for the port.

Looking on the bright side, the long development time might produce an even better masterpiece than Red Dead Redemption 2. Many gamers already know how detailed and beautiful the world and game were in RDR 2. Many hope that GTA 6 will trump whatever standard they’ve set with the cowboy western.
