After five years, Silksong gets its own Xbox Page. This is one of the few hints we’ve received from Team Cherry regarding the sequel to Hollow Knight.

On April 2, 2024, Hollow Knight: Silksong gets an official page on Microsoft’s official site. It mentions the game’s name, genre, and the studio behind it. They also added the game’s official synopsis:

“Ascend to the peak of a vast, haunted kingdom in Hollow Knight: Silksong! The sequel to the award-winning action-adventure, Hollow Knight. Explore, fight and survive as Hornet, princess-protector of Hallownest, as she discovers a land ruled by silk and song.”

However, the news ends there. There is no release date or trailer. Thankfully, we do have a few gameplay shots here and there.

The game also has an official page on the Nintendo Switch, Steam, GOG, and PSN.

In addition to all of this, the page’s publication date left many of the fans skeptical and alarmed.

One fan even joked that the majority of their audience would be too young to play Silksong.

Meanwhile, some audiences are taking the store page seriously but don’t deny the fact that there is barely any news about the upcoming sequel.

As mentioned earlier, fans have been waiting for five years for Silksong’s release. Team Cherry announced the sequel back on February 14, 2019.

Progress was made in June 2022 when the game was included in the Xbox-Bethesda showcase. Xbox’s official X/Twitter even confirmed that Silksong would be out in a year.

Unfortunately, this didn’t happen. Even Opera GX called them out within the replies. Eventually, Marketing Head Matthew Griffin admitted that the game would be delayed due to how big it turned out during development.

Thanks to the team communicating their progress, fans were understanding and even reassured them to take their time to make another stunning game.

Hollow Knight: Silksong was supposedly a DLC expansion for the original game. However, Team Cherry decided to make it into a full-blown sequel due to the love they received from fans.
