The Brooklyn Nets have officially acquired the six-time NBA all-star, Blake Griffin. Before signing with the Nets, the Detroit Pistons bought him out. The Lakers, Clippers, Warriors, and Heat are teams that had an interest in Blake.
Griffin will wear no. 2 on the Nets and earn a salary of $1.2 million for the rest of the season.
How good is Blake Griffin?
The former 1st overall pick has had an excellent career. However, in recent years he has missed many games due to injury. After missing the majority of the 2019-20 season due to two surgeries, Blake Griffin returned to action at the start of the 2020-21 season.
Although he has returned on the court, Blake has been struggling. Griffin averaged a career-low in points with 12.3 points and only 5.2 rebounds before he got bought out.

Two seasons ago, Griffin averaged a career-high in points with 24.5 points, 5.4 assists, and 7.5 rebounds. He also became an all-star for the 6th time in his career.
Nets fans should expect Griffin to bounce back with a change of scenery.
