NBA Twitter once again has Damian Lillard frustrated. According to Lillard, reports of him denying money from Portland in hopes of forcing a departure are completely false.

I literally have never said that. I've never said that. I literally laughed about it when I saw it because I've literally never said that. I've been seeing a lot of things being said, and I've been as open about the situation as I can possibly be.Damian Lillard

The report emerged from Henry Abbott via Twitter. Abbott runs an account under the moniker True Hoop, where he "reports" on NBA news. However, he recently caught controversy due to false rumors surrounding Lillard.

Similarly to this incident, he reported rumors of Lillard's potential trade request. Just like now, the Blazers star man denied any claims of him requesting a trade.

Lillard also went on to voice his frustration at the constant fake news spreading about him.

Things have just continued to come out. Dame said he's 75-25 or something, and Dame said he's excited about this. Dame is gonna give back money. I've seen everything and I have not said any of these things.Damian Lillard

Even teammates CJ McCollum and Jusuf Nurkić shared their thoughts regarding the situation. McCollum laughed at the thought of Lillard reportedly "giving bread back" to the Blazers.

On the other hand, Nurkić went on to criticize and tag Abbott and his True Hoop account on Twitter. He previously criticized false reporting on Lillard as trade rumors flourished on Twitter earlier in July.

If anyone knows the truth, it's certainly Lillard and his teammates. He even cleared the air saying he spoke openly to them about the situation.

I have spoken directly to my team, and if you ask them, they'll tell you exactly. My team knows the truth so I don't see the point of people saying I said this and I said that. I don't even know this guy (Abbott).Damian Lillard

As Lillard continues his Olympic run with Team USA, rumors of his future continue to swirl. Without his official word, there may be no telling where he ends up next season.
