The Golden State Warriors have been the talk of the NBA so far this season, having made a 15-2 start to the campaign. Jordan Poole has been a considerable part of the team’s success, and he is receiving acknowledgment from his teammates. Klay Thompson has had his say on Jordan Poole and his future in the NBA. Thompson has kept a close eye on Poole’s development over the past few years while recovering from injury problems himself.

Jordan Poole has been credited with working harder than anyone else on the Warriors team by coaches and veteran players since being drafted in 2019. He has been a starter this season, and the hard work is finally starting to pay off.

Poole averages 18.4 points, and 1.2 steals per game while shooting 45.8% from the field so far in 2021/22. These numbers are a big step up from his first two seasons in the NBA, where he averaged 10.3 points, 0.6 steals, and shot just 38.1% from the field.

Klay Thompson is a three-time NBA champion with the Warriors, and he could not contain his excitement for Jordan Poole’s future.

“Proud vet is an understatement . I’ve seen this man put in the work everyday for the last few years. And his future is incredibly bright.”

Poole has flourished as a starter in the NBA. But the imminent return of Klay Thompson will likely see him moved to the second unit. However, he will now be the second unit’s primary scoring threat, which makes the Warriors even scarier.

The Warriors earned their 15th win of the season over the Toronto Raptors on Sunday. Poole had a game-high 33 points, including eight made three-pointers. Head coach Steve Kerr praised the growth of the 22-year-olds shot.

“He’s worked so hard on it. I think the challenge this year is kind of the next step of his evolution. Which is to figure out what’s a good shot. Being aggressive but without forcing. I think the last few games he’s got much better in terms of his shot selection. Just taking the ones that are there and not launching tough ones.”

The Golden State Warriors are currently the best team in basketball. They will soon add Klay Thompson back to their starting lineup and will likely have a constantly improving Jordan Poole coming off the bench. If you didn’t believe it before, you’re going to have to now. The Warriors are back.
