Kyle Lowry is an elite playmaker. Today, he tied the Raptors franchise record and set himself a new career-high with 19 assists against the Celtics.

Raptors Acceptable Loss vs. Celtics

Kyle Lowry dropped 14 points and 19 assists, Norman Powell scored 25 points, and Aaron Baynes put up 13 points on 6/9 shooting. Chris Boucher and Terence Davis came off the bench and dropped 30 points and 22 points each. However, that was not enough to stop the likes of Jayson Tatum, Kemba Walker, and Jaylen Brown, especially when you’re missing 3 starters.

Fred Vanvleet, Pascal Siakam, OG Anunoby, and coach Nick Nurse all missed today’s game due to NBA health and safety protocols. Vanvleet and Anunoby played the best basketball of their career so far by averaging career-highs in points. Siakam had a slow start, but he is now averaging 20.1 points, 7.5 rebounds, and 4.8 assists this season.

The Raptors will look to bounce back against the Hawks after the all-star break.
