Brooklyn Nets superstar Kyrie Irving is expected to miss the team’s upcoming three-game road trip to tend to a family matter, reported by Shams Charania.
This is a tough blow for the Nets, as they are also without superstar Kevin Durant. Durant has been out since February and will continue to be for the next one to two weeks, The New York Post reports.
James Harden will continue to assume a large role with the team. Harden is the league’s leader in assists during the 2021 campaign.
Joe Harris and Bruce Brown may see elevated playing time during Irving’s absence. Fantasy basketball players will want to keep an eye out for them if they are on their league’s waiver wires.
The Nets’ next game is Tuesday, March 23 at 10:00 pm EST on NBA League Pass. They will face Damian Lillard and the Portland Trail Blazers.
