The Los Angeles Clippers defeated the Dallas Mavericks last night in game three of the series 130-122. The Clippers are now up 2-1 against the Mavericks, but Paul George continues to struggle.
Although Paul George played well in game one of the series, his last two games were less than impressive.
In the last two games against the Mavericks, George registered 14 and 11 points in games two and three, respectively. He shot only 23.5 % from the field in game two and 18.8% in game three.
Kawhi Leonard, George’s teammate, expressed that “We got his back” when asked about Paul’s shooting struggles in the series.
George recognized his shooting woes in a post-game interview. He mentioned how he needs to continue playing and not let recent struggles “affect his game.”
George also remained optimistic and kept things in perspective regarding how the team is doing.
“It is what it is, I’m going through a tough time but good thing about it is we’re up 2-1 and I haven’t shot the ball well.”
Paul George on his performance in the series so far
The Clippers will play the Mavericks in game four of the series on Sunday, where Paul George will look to redeem himself.
