Riley Curry Looks All Grown Up: Reliving Her Best Moments

Stephen and Riley Curry

Stephen Curry’s oldest daughter, Riley Curry, is 10 years old. While many remember her for her hilarious hijinks during her dad’s press conferences, the eldest Curry child looks all grown up now. Here’s a look back on some of Riley’s most memorable moments.

Just recently, Stephen and Riley Curry were spotted at a Stanford University women’s basketball game. They were cheering Stephen’s godsister, Cameron Bink, as she broke the universities record for most blocks in a season.

However, Riley stole the show. Fans were taken aback at how much the pre-tween had grown, wondering where all the years have gone.

On July 19, 2022, Riley celebrated her 10th birthday. Appropriately, her dad surprised her with a pair of his new Curry 10s. The four-time champion shared the heartwarming moment on his Instagram with the caption reading, “It’s only right Curry 10s for the 10 year old!”

The love didn’t stop there, though, since Stephen also posted a heartfelt message to his daughter. With a picture of Riley wearing a birthday princess tiara, the 34-year-old wrote, “July 19, 2012. 10 years watching you blossom has been the best of the best! Now- stop growing up so fast please.”

Riley’s mom, Ayesha Curry, also got in on the festivities. She posted several pictures reminiscing on all the beautiful moments they shared.

“Life truly comes at you fast and we had no idea what God had in store for our little family,” Ayesha wrote to Riley on Instagram. “The days are long and the years are truly short. Simply flying by. Riley has never stopped surprising us with her many talents, poise, empathic nature, Wit and creative insanely smart brain. We are so proud to be her mommy and daddy. Please, I truly hope these next 10 move like molasses.”

In August 2020, during the Democratic National Convention, Riley told her parents that she’d be surprised and happy to have a woman in the White House. She added, “there’s, like, not a lot of women being president and helping alongside the president.”

Lo and behold, five months after Riley’s comments, Kamala Harris became the first female vice president of the United States.

Riley first burst onto the scene in 2015. At just two years old, she stole the show at her dad’s postgame presser following the Warriors.’ Game 1 win against the Rockets in the Western Conference Finals.

Inundated with adorable laughter, edge-of-your-seat yawns, and understandable demands, Riley gave an indelible press conference.

She followed up her precious antics with another sequence of unforgettable moments when the Warriors eliminated the Rockets in Game 5 of the aforementioned series. This time around, Riley’s crescendo came when she belted out some Big Sean.

Few can say that their dad is a future first-ballot NBA Hall-of-Famer, let alone unequivocally the greatest shooter in the history of basketball. However, despite Stephen’s otherworldly feats, Riley and her younger siblings, Ryan, 7, and Canon, 4 don’t get caught up in his lore.

In an interview with E! News last December, the two-time MVP spoke about how his kids are impressed with him for different reasons. To them, he’s just dad exactly how he likes it.

“I would hope to say yes but probably for different reasons,” Stephen said. “I don’t think they care too much about how many times the ball goes in the basket. They’ve been to a couple parades and all that, so they enjoy the festivities of celebrating a championship. But when you’re at home you’re just Dad and that’s the best part about it.”

At just 10 years old, Riley has lived a fruitful life. She’ll be in the limelight for the foreseeable future due to her father’s fame but there’s no doubt that she’s already made a name for herself.
