ESPN’s Kayla Johnson posted a video inside the WNBA Bubble, and people were disgusted.
The 15-second clip takes us through the inside of a laundry room. The floors are moldy and disgusting, the machinery outdated, and a mousetrap is hanging from the wall.
The gross conditions inside the WNBA Bubble stand in stark contrast to the NBA’s experience at Disney World. While male players in Orlando are enjoying tasty meals, their female counterparts in Bradenton eating this:

This disparity highlights a significant issue in sports. Female athletes are treated with incredible disrespect.
“But it’s because they bring in way less revenue!“
That common counter-argument has one fundamental fallacy in its thinking. First, we have to understand why the WNBA brings in much less money, because that’s the reality.
Social media disrespects Female sports so much that nobody takes them seriously. If you don’t believe it, just go into the comment section of any WNBA-related Instagram post. The thing is, all the losers making comments like that would get destroyed by even the last player an a WNBA team’s bench.
Examples like this video from Florida shine a light on the massive inequality between men’s and women’s sports.
As a society, we cannot accept seeing this without taking action. Hopefully, videos like these will awaken enough people to get involved.
