Zach LaVine on a contract extension with Chicago Bulls

Zach LaVine would like to continue to showcase his talents in Chicago. In an interview with NBC Sports, the seven-year forward spoke on his intentions to remain with the Bulls. LaVine is presently on a four-year deal with the Bulls, worth 78 million. The guard will be seeking an extension with the Bulls following the 2021-22 season.

LaVine has been a focal point of the Chicago Bulls, ranging back to his trade from the Minnesota Timberwolves in 2017. The guard has become accustomed to the city and has enjoyed playing with the NBA's Bulls. To add, he is coming off three straight seasons of averaging over 20 points per game.

The one-time All-Star has a mindset of remaining with the Bulls long-term. He hopes to get a contract extension this upcoming season.

LaVine spoke about his impressive tenure with the Bulls and says he has exceeded his contract. He is coming off a career season, averaging 27.4 points, 4.9 assists, and 5.0 rebounds. The former first-round pick was an All-Star and sat seventh in the league in points per game averages.

I want the team to be good, but then I also want to be taken care of as well. I feel like I’ve done really well by the Bulls, and obviously I want to be here long-term and I feel I deserve what I get. Zach LaVine on his contract and how he feels about the Bulls

With signing LaVine, the Bulls hope to reach the next level in the Eastern Conference standings. Chicago finished 31-41 last season, missing out on the playoffs for the fourth consecutive season. LaVine, looking to advance to his first postseason, hopes to lead the Bulls for several years.
