The Brooklyn Nets signed Hall Of Famer Steve Nash to coach the franchise for the next four years. The news broke out per Adrian Wojnarowski.

Nash will replace Jacques Vaughn, who served as the interim head coach to end the season. Vaughn will remain on the team as an assistant.

Nash was on the Warriors as a player development consultant for three years, where he worked with Kevin Durant. The positive relationship Nash had with Durant might explain why the Nets chose to hire him.

For the Nets, This is not the first time they have chosen to hire a Hall of Fame point guard with little to no experience. Jason Kidd coached the Nets to a 44-38 record in 2013-2014.

The Toronto Raptors eliminated the Nets in the first round of the playoffs this season. However, with Durant and Kyrie Irving returning next season, the Nets will look to bounce back. Steve Nash will have the privilege of working with a couple of All-Stars that can help his coaching resume flourish.
