Rockets forward Danuel House Jr. is currently under investigation for allegedly letting a female COVID-19 testing official into his hotel room, per Chris Haynes of Yahoo Sports.

House already missed the Rockets Game 3 loss for undisclosed personal reasons, and his chance of returning for the rest of the series is up in the air. The league will decide before Houston takes on the Lakers in Game 4 at 7:00 PM EST today.

This alleged violation of the NBA protocol couldnt have come at a worse time. The Rockets are down 2-1 against the Lakers, a hole theyd struggle to come back from even with a full roster. With House potentially lost for the series, a Rockets comeback is all the more unlikely.

House started 52 games for the Rockets and is key to their small-ball success. He spaces the floor on offense and effectively guards a variety of players with his valuable combination of length, athleticism and quickness. Hes averaging 11.4 points per game on 35.8% from three thus far in the playoffs.

With or without House, the Rockets will look to tie the series tonight and avoid going down 3-1.
