Giannis Antetokounmpo and Milwaukee Bucks owner Marc Lasry had a 3-hour meeting on Friday, discussing what the future holds for Antetokounmpo and the Bucks if he stays for next season.

The two talked about the past season and how the Bucks can improve for the future. Lasry also mentioned that hed be willing to spend over the luxury tax if necessary. Theyll talk again once the Greek Freak returns from vacation.

The Antetokounmpo sweepstakes will be the biggest story of this offseason. The reigning MVP is under contract for one more year but has been rumored to want out of Milwaukee before he enters free agency. Toronto and Miami are reportedly his preferred destinations, while several other teams will likely make a push for the Defensive Player of the Year.

Antetokounmpo wanting a fresh start makes sense. The Bucks endured disappointing postseason results after strong regular seasons for the second straight year. Unless Milwaukee makes a drastic change to surround Giannis with an improved supporting cast, he wont have much of a reason to stay. Theres also the prospect of playing alongside teams coming off recent championships (Toronto and Golden State), who know what it takes to win the titles that Giannis is seeking.

Antetokounmpo and the Bucks will have some big decisions ahead of them this offseason.
