Hamidou Diallo’s foundation completes clean water project in Guinea

Detroit Pistons star Hamidou Diallo chiefly completed a significant milestone in his life. Diallo’s foundation recently completed a clean water project in Guinea. The HD Foundation’s mission is to enhance kids’ awareness in our inner cities.

Approximately 13 weeks ago, according to their Instagram page, Diallo’s foundation promptly began their project. And surely, the project is now a resounding success. Hamidou Diallo’s upbringing and background give a great perspective on the foundation and why its created. In short, Diallo’s foundation is helping those in need, and therefore, “The HD Foundation” is a positive in our world.

Hamidou Diallo was born in Queens, New York, to Guinean immigrants on July 31st, 1998. Later on, Diallo’s basketball journey began at Lefark City in Queens. In due time, Hamidou Diallo joined the NBA and became an established player in the league. Hamidou Diallo played two seasons with the Oklahoma City Thunder; in 2020, Diallo joined the Detroit Pistons.

As a result of winning the NBA Draft Lottery, the Detroit Pistons acquired the number 1 pick. Hamidou Diallo joins a talented group of young players in Motor City. Presumed number 1 pick Cade Cunningham joins Jerami Grant, Killian Hayes, Saddiq Bey, and others. Saddiq Bey recently made the NBA All-Rookie 2nd team with the Detroit Pistons this season. Jerami Grant also finished ranked in the top 3 for the Most Improved Player Award.

With Hamidou Diallo’s Guinean heritage, Diallo is a candidate for the next NBA Africa Game, whenever that takes place. The previous 3 NBA Africa Games occurred in 2015,2017 in addition to 2018.
