Karl-Anthony Towns Claims Anthony Edwards Is One Of The Best In The League

The four-time All-Star doesn’t hold back during his First Take appearance. He gives full props to his teammate and claims that he will be the face of the league.

Towns emphasizes that the way the 22-year-old plays now already makes him one of the best. Add the fact that the guard is still young with much to learn, and the potential is near limitless.

“I think when he’s playing the game he’s playing right now, I think he’s one of the top players of the NBA.”

NBA athletes are supposed to be multifaceted, as many wouldn’t want to play with a skilled player who doesn’t do well for team morale.

However, the Minnesota Timberwolf applauds Edwards for having a great personality and the ability to help on and off the court.

“You mix that in with the charisma and personality he has, he’s a huge boost to our locker room as well.”

He doesn’t stop there and highlights how good the team morale of the Timberwolves is. Edwards’ contribution to the team makes him a great person to be with, as heard by Towns’ comment of “being honored” to help him mature.

“Anthony Edwards is special. He hates when I say it, but he’s gonna be the face of the NBA sooner than later. We’re just super honored that we all get to play with him, we all get to help him in this process of maturing and I think that the future is very, very bright for him.”

The first overall pick of the 2020 draft is already playing at a superstar level. However, he’s still gunning for more. Not only does he want to win a ring for Minnesota, but he also wants to become an NFL player. Moreover, he wants to juggle this with his NBA career, not after it.

They just might be able to get a ring as the Timberwolves are sitting at a comfortable first spot in the West with a 39-16 record.

Meanwhile, Edwards is averaging 26.3 points, 5.2 rebounds, 5.3 assists, and 1.2 steals in his fourth year as a player.
