Miami Heat’s Duncan Robinson has three priorities going into free agency. The emergent sharpshooter wants to make money, be comfortable, and win. The second-year forward elaborated during a brief interview with the South Florida Sun Sentinal.
“I’m just trying to get all the information possible, so I can make the best decision possible. In terms of the different factors that contribute, all of them do, to some extent. First and foremost, the fit, a place where I can really feel comfortable. Winning is obviously a priority for me, as well. And then, of course, it’s also a business and there’s an opportunity to make money to take care of people that I love the most. So that’s also a priority, as well.”

The 27-year-old also expressed his love for the Heat organization and stated the importance of gathering all the information for what’s to come in August.
Duncan Robinson’s Pro Career
As an undrafted free agent, Duncan Robinson took a unique road to the NBA. After his three seasons at Michigan, the young forward took his talents to the G-League’s Sioux Falls Skyforce. Robinson stood out, posting 21.4 points per game on 51.4 percent shooting in 33 games.
The Heat then entered the fray, signing Robinson up from the minor leagues. The signing proved fruitful, as he quickly became an elite scoring threat from outside for Miami. Robinson has shot 43.7 percent from three in the last two seasons scoring just over 13 points per game. His play helped push the Heat all the way to the Finals last season. While this year saw worse results for the squad, they look to remain viable moving forward.
As Duncan Robinson enters restricted free agency later this Summer, he will have plenty of teams vying for him. His long-range shooting will make him a big target for several clubs. For the Heat, bringing him back ought to be a top priority.
