Rumors surrounding LeBron James and his son Bronny playing together in the NBA have been circulating for years. With Bronny nearing the end of his first year with USC, we are getting closer and closer to that being a possibility.

LeBron has a player option of $51.4 million for the 2024-2025 season. In a recent report by NBA analyst Marc Stein, a few teams around the league will look to draft Bronny in an attempt to bring LeBron with him.

“I know of at least two teams on the NBA map that believe LeBron James would consider signing with them at far less than $51.4 million if Bronny James is on the roster. There might be more.”

Marc Stein reported

This move makes sense for franchises around the league. LeBron has made it clear that he wants to play with his son, and Bronny has the makings of a solid player for years to come. The ability to see them play together would be a treat for fans of all fanbases.

At 39 years old, LeBron is still showing that he can do it all. In his 48 games played, he is averaging 24.8 points, 7.3 rebounds and 7.8 assists per game.

However, the bigger question is whether Bronny is ready to make the next leap to the NBA. An extra season at USC could help in his development. While he has the tools to be a great athletic wing, he could use another year to hone those skills.

In his 16 games played this year, Bronny is averaging 5.8 points, 3.0 rebounds, and 2.6 assists per game. Only time will tell if he and his dad will wind up on the court together or not. Regardless, teams are prepared to pay LeBron if the opportunity arises.
