Stephen Curry isn’t sure which player he’d love to be teammates or rivals with the most. The GOAT debate will continue for generations in the NBA with varying answers from different people. Even players have their own chosen ones, and Curry can’t decide between his top three when it comes to who he’d want to play with.
Stephen Curry Can’t Choose Between The Three
In a podcast-slash interview with Monte Poole and Dalton Johnson on NBCSports, they ask him which player the nine-time All-Star would love playing with or against.
They set up the narrative with the DeLorean from Back to the Future. The time travel would provide an excellent opportunity for the four-time NBA champ to play with the all-time greats.
After deliberating for a few seconds, he lists his top three.
He first says Michael Jordan, who’s also a popular answer for many players in the league as their GOAT. However, some might disagree since their choice would be LeBron James.
Next up is Shaquille O’Neal, whom Curry claims he’d be “unstoppable” with.
Lastly is Hakeem Olajuwon, whose impeccable footwork could mesh with Curry’s movement and shotmaking abilities.
“In my top three, obviously [Michael] Jordan, Shaq[uille O’Neal] and I’d probably say Hakeem Olajuwon.”

He can’t make up his mind since they’re all great players who offer much on the court. As such, the Golden State Warrior has nothing but praise for all three.
“I’d like to play with all three of those guys ’cause I think Jordan, you just want to see him up close and personal. I think pick and roll with me, Hakeem or me and Shaq would be pretty much unstoppable.”

Would This Superteam Work Out?

Hypothetically, Jordan and Olajuwon would be able to work. It might take some time for the team to get their footing, but it’ll be similar to the Milwaukee Bucks‘ current setup with Giannis Antetokounmpo and Damian Lillard.
However, O’Neal might be a different story. His old beef with Kobe Bryant shows the possible incompatibility with arguably the best point guard.
O’Neal liked plays running through him and became distraught when Bryant would keep shooting.
However, it might have been different if it was peak Curry with the retired Los Angeles Laker.
In the end, it’s all speculation and fun theory crafting. Do you think these hypothetical superteams would dominate the league?
