The NBA and NBPA are working on an agreement to hold the All-Star Game at State Farm Arena in Atlanta on March 7. However, De’Aaron Fox voiced concerns about holding the game following Wednesday’s matchup against the Celtics.

De’Aaron Fox questions whether the event makes sense to take place amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

“If we have to wear a mask and do all of this for a regular game, then what’s the point of bringing the All-Star Game back? But obviously, money makes the world go ’round. It is what it is.”

Fox, 23, is having a great season with the Kings, averaging 22.3 points and 6.6 assists per game. As a result, it’s entirely possible for Fox to end up being selected for the All-Star game.

When asked if he would take part in the game if he were selected, Fox stated:

“You know you get fined if you’re supposed to be in it, and you’re not hurt, and you decide not to play? That’s a hefty fine, so hell yeah, I would play in it.”

According to Adrian Wojnarowski, the NBA is discussing the possibility for players to opt-out if they do not want to play. We should be finding out more information regarding the game soon.
