According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter and multiple sources, reigning NFL MVP Aaron Rodgers wants out of Green Bay.
Just hours before the 2021 NFL Draft, reports surfaced that Rodgers has growingly become “disgruntled” with the team. There’s a chance a deal will be made for the star quarterback tonight.
Green Bay’s front office has known about this for a while now, and Rodgers has made his feelings clear. Team president Mark Murphy, general manager Brian Gutekunst, and head coach Matt LaFleur are concerned and met with Rodgers multiple times this offseason to repair their relationship. Green Bay has no interest in moving the future Hall of Famer.
The End of An Era?

The Packers brought this problem upon themselves, starting with last year’s draft. They were in desperate need of another receiver and weapon for Rodgers. They ended up trading up to draft Utah State quarterback Jordan Love with the 26th pick in the first round last year. Rodgers was frustrated with the selection because they had many other needs to fill besides quarterback.
Again, during last year’s trade deadline, the Packers could have made a deal to acquire a wide receiver, like Will Fuller V. Instead, the Packers decided not to make a move. For these reasons, and possibly others, Aaron Rodgers wants out of Green Bay.
Earlier this morning, rumors were swirling around the San Francisco 49ers and Rodgers. Reportedly, the 49ers offered their third overall pick, other draft picks, and multiple players on their roster (including Jimmy Garoppolo) for Rodgers. Sources familiar with the situation said there is a zero percent chance Rodgers will be dealt.
“As we’ve stated since the season ended, we are committed to Aaron in 2021 and beyond.”

One thing that is for certain, the 2021 NFL Draft just got a whole lot more interesting. Will Green Bay refuse to trade him, or will there be a package they can’t refuse?
