Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts turned a lot of heads with his amazing performance in Week 1. The 23-year-old jersey sales saw the biggest one-day increase of any player on Sunday. Fanatics reporting an increase of over 500%. Hurts' green no.1 jersey is currently the second best-selling NFL jersey behind New England Patriots rookie Mac Jones' jersey. This is a surprising duo to be atop the list at any point of the season. But a show of belief from their fan base.

The Eagles were dominant in their 32-6 road win over the Atlanta Falcons, and Jalen Hurts controlled the game from start to finish. The former Alabama QB went 27/35 on his passes for 265 yards, 0 picks, and three touchdowns. Hurts added 62 rushing yards and finished with a passer rating of 126.4, which ranks sixth among the entire NFL in Week 1. This dominance led to Hurts selling more jerseys on Sunday than during the rest of the week combined.

Hurts had just four starts last season but clearly made an impression this off-season, with new head coach Nick Sirianni naming him the starting QB in August. He has also made an impression on his teammates to really set his path to stardom in the NFL.

"He's the leader. When things go wrong, he's the guy that's picking everybody up. When things are right, he's the one telling us, keep pushing."DeVonta Smith

Rookie DeVonta Smith was impressive on Sunday too. Scoring with his first career reception and finishing with 71 yards off six catches. This output saw his jersey sales rise 166% between Saturday and Sunday. However, the story of the day was Jalen Hurts.

During the off-season, the team announced that Hurts would be changing to no.1 (the number he wore at Oklahoma) ahead of the 2021 season, and clearly, it is working for him. Hurts' three touchdown passes on Sunday means he is halfway to matching his output from last season. This could be a successful season if Sunday were a sign of things to come for Hurts & the Eagles (the only team to win in their division).
