Green Bay Packers Quarterback Aaron Rodgers may be moving on from the Packers this offseason. According to Adam Schefter, Aaron Rodgers told someone within the Packers organization that he wants out of Green Bay. This may come as a surprise, as he won the Most Valuable Player award this season and led the Packers to the NFC Championship.
However, the Packers showed concern in Rodgers, as they traded up to draft a quarterback in the first round in last year’s draft. And despite the rumors of Rodgers wanting off the team, the Packers drafted a cornerback with their first-round pick in this year’s draft. They also did not draft a wide receiver until the third round.
With these trade rumors, a lot of people are wondering where Aaron Rodgers will end up playing. These are the top three landing spots that I believe Aaron Rodgers will likely end up.
Las Vegas Raiders

Reports have said that Aaron Rodgers is interested with the idea of possibly playing for the Las Vegas Raiders.
“[Aaron Rodgers] is reportedly intrigued by the Raiders as well, so they have to be on this list. They’re happy with Derek Carr; nothing’s going on right now, and they very well could extend Derek Carr sometime soon. But the Raiders look into every single quarterback situation. … They looked at past free agents or trade options. So, Jon Gruden is sort of always lurking. You can’t discount them.”
ESPN Journalist Jeremy Fowler
The current starting quarterback for the Raiders, Derek Carr, is set to be a free agent in 2023. Carr is 30 years old and has played for the Raiders his whole career. In his seven seasons with the team, he has only made the playoffs once. With Carr’s contract only lasting two more years, it wouldn’t be a bad idea to trade Carr and get some value before he is a free agent.
Carr didn’t have a bad season in 2020, throwing for 27 touchdowns and nine interceptions. Despite Carr’s performance, the Raiders showed interest in quarterback Trey Lance in this year’s draft. If the Raiders have any uncertainty at quarterback, now would be the time to trade, with Aaron Rodgers wanting out of Green Bay.
Denver Broncos

The Denver Broncos have been struggling to find a good quarterback ever since Peyton Manning retired. Their current quarterbacks are Drew Lock and Teddy Bridgewater. Drew Lock has been anything but good during his time playing for the Broncos, but he is young and can be great. Teddy Bridgewater was traded to the Broncos a few days before the draft but is most likely not a long-term solution.
In this year’s draft, the Broncos chose not to draft a quarterback, despite Justin Fields being available at their pick. This surprised a lot of fans, considering their struggles at quarterback over the years. Since the Broncos passed on Fields, they most likely want to trade for a quarterback like Rodgers instead.
The Broncos seem to be just a quarterback away from being a playoff-ready team. They have good depth at running back in Melvin Gordon and rookie Javonte Williams. They also have a young and talented receiving core in Noah Fant, Jerry Jeudy, and more. This team seems to have the talent. They need a good quarterback to lead them to the playoffs.
San Francisco 49ers

Ok, this one might seem like a stretch, but hear me out.
The 49ers roster has not changed too much since their Super Bowl run during the 2019 season. Their defense is still considered one of the best in the league, and their offense has gotten better.
Even though the 49ers traded away two first-round picks to get rookie quarterback Trey Lance, I still see a possibility of Rodgers playing for San Francisco. The 49ers said that they want to hold onto Jimmy Garoppolo. One reason for this could be so their rookie quarterback can develop, considering Lance only played 19 games in college. But based on the roster, the 49ers are good enough to make it back to the Super Bowl.
Yes, they could try their luck again with Garoppolo, but if they could somehow get Rodgers, it is the best of both worlds for the 49ers. Rodgers could give the 49ers a great chance at Super Bowl. While Rodgers starts, Lance would have plenty of time to develop and learn from one of the best quarterbacks to ever play in the NFL.
Considering the amount of draft picks the 49ers gave up to get Lance, this idea seems a bit out of reach. But I believe the 49ers are one of the teams to look out for as a dark horse candidate in these Aaron Rodgers trade rumors.
