The future of Aaron Rodgers and his career has been a major talking point since he was traded from the Green Bay Packers to the New York Jets. After a devastating Achilles injury that he suffered in the first game of the Jets regular season, there was real cause for concern.

However, according to Rodgers, there are no signs of slowing down. In a recent interview with Eddie Bravo’s ‘Look Into It Podcast‘ Rodgers expressed his desire to play for another four years.

“I’m hopeful I can play two or three or four more years, but you need to have some good fortune in there to.”

Rodgers recently turned 40 years old back in early December. To say that he would play another four years would be quite shocking. In comparison, Tom Brady played until he was 45 years old.

If the Jets are going to contend in a loaded AFC, they will need Rodgers healthy and playing at a high level. The defense has been solid, but the offense has had much to be desired. Rodgers should be back and healthy again to start next season.

“I got back on the practice field late in the season and couldn’t get to a top speed sprinting, but really been in a good place rehab-wise, from the start, and feeling really good.”

The four-time Most Valuable Player will be going into this upcoming season with a chip on his shoulder. The Jets have the tools to be a legitimate contender in the NFL. As we saw this season again, they desperately need Rodgers to help improve the quarterback play.

This offseason will be a big one in shaping the future of the Jets organization.
