Green Bay Packers quarterback, Aaron Rodgers, spoke at a press conference earlier this week. In his interview, he discussed matters about his mental health and his current status with the Packers.

“I’m very thankful for the opportunity to work on my mental health… I’ve just really been trying to think about what puts me in the best frame of mind. What habits can I form that allow me to feel most in my body, most present, happiest? And that’s what I’ve been doing… The mental side of it is so important for all of us athletes. I don’t think it’s talked about enough. But taking time to work on yourself is, I think, the best gift any of us can give ourselves.”

Rodgers shared these comments a day ahead of his golf charity exhibition. He has paired up with Bryson DeChambeau to face off against the team of Buccaneers QB Tom Brady and Phil Mickelson. “The Match” will take place on July 6th at The Reserve at Moonlight Basin.

Aaron Rodgers this offseason

Since his trade request, many have kept a close eye on Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers. As the rift between both parties seems to grow, we continue waiting for a resolution to come. Adam Schefter first reported Aaron Rodgers’ desire to leave Green Bay on the night of the NFL draft this past April. People have only speculated on where he may end up ever since.

The Packers have held steady on their intent to retain their starting QB moving forward. Although, they have received calls from the 49ers, Broncos, and other teams since the news broke. Rodgers, in the meantime, spent his offseason away from team affairs. The reigning league MVP held out from mandatory minicamp back in June. And with training camp fast approaching on July 27th, it stands to question how long either party will go before relenting. We’ll have to wait and see how it all transpires.
