Cowboys LB Vander Esch on Anonymous Coaching Criticism ‘Own up to It’

Jun 11, 2019; Frisco, TX, USA; Dallas Cowboys outside linebacker Leighton Vander Esch (55) goes through drills at the Ford Center at the Star in Frisco.

The Dallas Cowboys have had a rough season so far, and tensions are starting to rise within the organization.

Earlier this week, two anonymous Cowboys players expressed their concerns about the team to NFL Networks Jane Slater. They told her that the teams coaches are totally unprepared,” and that they dont teach.

Reportedly, they also said that the team’s coaching staff struggles to adjust on the fly and that they just arent good at their jobs.

Many Cowboys players disapproved of the anonymity of these statements, but Cowboys linebacker Leighton Vander Esch was most displeased, to say the least:

I think if youre going to put it out there and not put your name on it, I think youre an absolute coward. Simple as that. Own up to it, Vander Esch said, via Michael Gehlken of the Dallas Morning News.

Although leaders of the NFC East, the Cowboys seem to be in turmoil. With Dak Prescott out for the season, it will definitely be tough for the Cowboys to win games.
