Despite recent comments about the team’s direction, Davante Adams makes it clear that he wants to be a Raider.
Adam’s had everybody speculating whether or not he wanted to remain in Las Vegas. He posted some interesting things on social media after the team signed quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo. In addition, he also said that he and the front office “don’t see eye-to-eye on what we think is best for us right now.”
Adams spoke to the media and addressed those comments, said he looks forward to playing with Garoppolo, and that he has a great relationship with coaches and the front office. In addition, he says that he is a Raider and that he’s here to stay.
“You can grab something and run with it if you want to get clicks,” Adams said. “That’s what people often do with me if I misspeak or speak up. At the end of the day, I’m a Raider and I’m excited to be here. I love my head coach and I love the General Manager here. Everybody from the top to the bottom.”
Jimmy (Garoppolo) is a great guy. Love him to death. I didn’t know him very well before he got here, but getting to work together a little bit, being around each other, getting to know him, he’s a great guy. Definitely excited about getting to work with him and everybody else that’s in here.”
Adams joined Las Vegas last season to reunite with former college teammate and longtime Raider quarterback, Derek Carr. However, Carr is no longer with the team and Adams wasn’t too happy about how that situation played out either. He made a post that showed how unhappy he was about the decision.
Adams has had an interesting start to his Raider career, to say the least. Regardless of everything, Adams still wants to be a Raider and wants to win in Las Vegas.
