Former Patriots receiver Deion Branch gave his input to the comments made by Cassius Marsh. Marsh didn’t hold back on his time in New England. Marsh says the Patriots mistreat their players and take the fun out of playing the game. However, Branch responds by saying that New England isn’t for every player.

“New England isnt for every player. New England is not the place you want to go and think youre just gonna play first and you do your work later. No, its you work first and then we play. As far as playing the game in New England, I do not agree with him on that. I never had a situation where I felt myself or any of my former teammates felt likethey were mistreated.”

This isn’t the first time Marsh has made comments about the Patriots. Marsh said back in 2018 that New England is not a fun place to play. However, Branch disagrees, and there’s a reason he had so much success in New England.

Branch had two stints in New England and won two Super Bowl rings with the organization. Branch was also the MVP of Super Bowl 39 back in 2005 against the Philadelphia Eagles. New England is all bout winning and will always be about winning.

The Patriots established that culture back in 2000 when Bill Belichick became head coach. As a result, the team has six Super Bowl trophies to prove Branch’s point. New England missed the playoffs in 2020, finishing with only seven wins. However, the Patriots made some moves this off-season and are looking to get right back to their winning ways.

Players are attracted to New England’s culture, and that is why they had so much success in free agency in 2021.

Deion Branch strongly disagrees with the comments Cassius Marsh made. In addition, he says New England doesn’t mistreat their players; they have high expectations. The Patriots feel work should come first, and that’s a reason they are so successful.
