Houston Texans quarterback Deshaun Watson is now facing the 14th accusation of sexual misconduct. A Los Angeles massage therapist reported sexual harassment by Watson in her Beverley Hills home last July. Reportedly, he became aggressive during a scheduled massage appointment. Although the woman has remained anonymous, you can find the plaintiff’s court report here.

The first public report of misconduct by the Pro Bowl quarterback appeared in an Instagram post via well-known Houston lawyer Tony Buzbee. He stated,

“… isn’t about money– it’s about dignity and stopping behavior that should be stopped, NOW!”

Deshaun Watson was quick to respond via Twitter and posted a written message from his Notes app defending himself:

According to Fox Houston reporter Matthew Seerdoff, there are 14 suits and 24 different women accusing the Texans quarterback of sexual harassment. Each civil suit follows the same behavior pattern, which begins with Watson messaging private masseuses through Instagram. One report states that Deshaun showed his genitals and even groped one massage therapist in another case. These reports reveal a timeline that dates back to April 2020 and is as recent as March 5th, 2021.

In response, Watson has hired Rusty Hardin in his defense. Hardin spoke out today for the first time to dispute these claims and the tactics used by the accusers. He states that Tony Buzbee has “orchestrated a circus-like atmosphere” and questioned why every plaintiff filed anonymously.

This case is just beginning and there is much more investigating that needs to be done before any decisions will be made. It is important to note that as of now, there are no criminal charges being placed on Watson.
