Achraf Hakimi will play anywhere PSG coach Mauricio Pochettino asks him to play. Although Achraf Hakimi recently just arrived at Paris Saint-Germain, he already seems like a natural fit. Hakimi promptly joined Le Parisien coming off an excellent season with FC Internazionale Milano in Serie A. In particular, Hakimi looks to excel in the full-back positions, either on the left or right side of the defense. Speaking to RMC Sport, Hakimi stated the following…

“Where it will be best for the team and where I can help, whatever the position, I do not care. Where I am needed, where it is better for the club, for the coach, and I will always give my best. If I am told to play goalkeeper, I will put on the gloves!”

Additionally, Achraf Hakimi’s blossoming career helps PSG in the long term. Alongside French phenom Kylian Mbappe, Hakimi is 22 years old. However, Achraf Hakimi’s excellent form didn’t come cheap for Paris Saint-Germain. This summer, off the back of a title win with FC Internazionale Milano, Hakimi cost PSG 70 million euros. Achraf Hakimi previously cost Internazionale approximately 40 million euros the previous summer. Former Internazionale manager Antonio Conte is a particular favorite of Hakimi.

Born in Madrid, Hakimi joined Real Madrid during his youth. However, his breakout season occurred during a two-year loan spell with German side Borussia Dortmund. Despite Real Madrid’s lack of youth in their defensive corps, they surprisingly sold him to Internazionale. Though he was born in Spain, Hakimi instead chose to represent Morroco. His parents immigrated to Spain from Morroco before Hakimi was born.

Alongside Achraf Hakimi, Paris Saint-Germain signed a slew of players in 2021. Including Real Madrid legend Sergio Ramos, rejecting a move to Machester City in the process.
