Chelsea defender Reece James revealed that his Champions League winners medal was taken during a robbery at his home. The housebreaking took place Tuesday, September 14, while he was playing a game. At the same time, James was part of the Champions League squad that defeated FC Zenit in the first game of their European campaign.
The 21-year-old England International posted several clips of the theft on his social media account. The clips show four suspects leading up to James´ driveway and shining torches into the house. In addition, James mentioned that the robbers took the medals from a safe, including his Champions League and Euro 2020 medal and his most recent European Super Cup winners medal.

James states that losing possession of the medals will not take his achievements of the club and country away from him. Nevertheless, the Chelsea player has asked fans for help identifying the individuals that broke into his house.
“These medals were won representing Chelsea and England – honors that can never be taken away. Nevertheless, I am appealing to all my Chelsea and England fans to identify and turn in these low life individuals.”Reece James
James, who was in the middle of his fourth appearance of the new season when the robbery took place, said that police are entirely aware of the incident and are close to identifying the robbers.
Furthermore, James said nobody was inside the property at the time of the robbery. The English player also added his appreciation for having a platform to speak up.

Last season, James was essential as Chelsea went all the way to crown themselves champions of Europe. The 21-year-old has scored once and assisted twice in his first four games this new season as he looks to repeat last seasons´ campaign success.
