Everton forward Moise Kean looks to return to Paris. After spending the past season on loan at PSG, Kean reportedly wants out of Everton and seeks a permanent transfer. Kean even went to the lengths of liking Instagram comments that featured “#FreeKean” about his rumored transfer.

Everton signed the Italian for £27.5million in 2019 following his breakout season at Juventus. However, Kean’s form dropped dramatically in England. After scoring 7 goals in 17 appearances the season prior, he managed just 2 in 33 at Everton.

As a result, the English side sent him to PSG this season on loan. In Paris, his form bettered drastically. After his dismal 2019-2020, he scored an impressive 17 goals in 41 matches in France. These numbers also came in a deeper squad filled with the likes of Kylian Mbappe and Neymar.

He even scored against Barcelona in PSG’s 4-1 Champions League rout. Kean often plays as a direct striker, but he also features on the wings at times. Known for his pace and finishing ability, he also still has bags of potential at just 21. Since his arrival in England, rumors swirled of his lowered morale at the club. He often came off the bench under Marco Silva despite being promised playing time and opportunities on the pitch.

Previously, Everton looked to loan him for yet another season in Paris; however, both parties progressed into seeking a permanent deal. Bringing in Kean for another season would bolster an already strong PSG side in hopes of winning the Champions League next year.

The club already added Achraf Hakimi and Gianluigi Donnaruma in this transfer window and look to Kean as another signing. Despite Kean’s excellent form, last season marked a disappointing one for PSG. They finished 2nd in the league behind Lille, lost in the Champions League semis to Manchester City, and only managed a Coupe de France win.

PSG looks promising, however, as Neymar also renewed his contract at the club. If Kean does manage a Parisian return, the club is one to watch next season.
