If you’re anything like me, before you indulge in any Netflix watching you take a quick scroll through the daily Top 10 list. A few weeks ago there was a show that caught my eye by the name of Outer Banks. At the time, I was in the midst of watching Modern Family, so I put Outer Banks on the backburner. I told myself I would check it out once the time comes.

It didn’t take me long to finish Modern Family, and I had to face a daunting question; rewatch Modern Family or go find something new to watch?

As I was in the midst of scrolling through Netflix and making my decision, my friend shot me a text suggesting Outer Banks.

I quickly connected the dots and remembered that Outer Banks was the show that caught my eye a few weeks ago. I told my friend that I’d give it a shot.

Even with the suggestion of my friend, I was still tempted to rewatch my last binge. Despite the temptations, I decided to give Outer Banks a chance. And boy am I glad I did.

Must-Watch TV

The show only has one season consisting of 10 episodes, which allowed me to finish the show pretty fast; two days to be exact.

Each episode ends with an insane cliffhanger, making it hard to look away.

The show follows five teens in North Carolina, (aka the Outer Banks) on a hunt for a lost treasure worth millions in gold. Along the way, the group has to deal with romance the hunt for the treasure, and law enforcement.

The show came out on April 15th of this year and has spent the majority of its time pretty high on the Top 10 list.

What to Expect Going Forward

Thanks to its rapid and immense popularity, the show has already been renewed for a second season. TikTok stars Charli D’Amelio and Addison Rae are rumored to be making appearances next season.

Can’t wait.

If you’re looking for a binge as quarantine wraps up in most places, you can’t go wrong with Outer Banks.
