Morris Twins Sign With Agent Chafie Fields of Wasserman

Adrian Wojnarowski reports that Marcus and Markeiff Morris have signed with Chafie Fields of Wasserman. Chafie Fields now represents both clients in the NFL and NBA.

Some NFL athletes he represents include Amari Cooper, Patrick Peterson, DeForect Buckner, and Arik Armstead. Fields played football at Penn State from 1969-1999, scoring 14 touchdowns and picking up 2,000 yards from scrimmage. He played in the NFL from 2000-2002.

Fields exclusively represented NFL athletes throughout most of his career. Signing on with the Morris twins branches his influence on the NBA world.

Morris Twins on the Market

The Morris twins are unrestricted free agents this offseason. Both played key roles in their respective Los Angeles teams (Marcus on the Clippers and Markieff on the Lakers). Not too long ago, the Morris twins joined Roc Nation and before that, Klutch Sports. It was a quick move away from Roc Nation to Wasserman and Chafie Fields.

The Morris’s are versatile wing players that can even play the small-ball five position. Marcus Morris is a little better at handling and scoring the ball. Markieff Morris’s shooting was key in the Lakers run in the western conference, as well as his switch-ability on defense.

Marcus Morris averaged 10 points and four rebounds during his tenure on the Clippers after being traded from the Knicks midseason. Markieff Morris was waived by the Pistons midseason and was subsequently picked up by the Lakers. He only played in fourteen regular-season games and averaged five points. His best basketball this season was during the Lakers’ playoff run.

The Morris twins are tough defenders and can shoot the ball. A team should sign them during free agency based on what they can bring to a contending team. There’s a strong possibility both players return to the Clippers and Lakers as they provide skillsets both teams need. Expect a short-term deal if they return as both teams want to build out the rest of their roster.
