Klay Thompson apparently threw bricks at some homes in the Sacramento area. However, this isn’t what it seems, as it’s a misinterpreted joke that the X AI (formerly Twitter), Grok, didn’t pick up.
Klay Thompson Vandalized Sacramento Houses?
It’s not unusual to hear some NBA players committing crimes, as some have shown up on reports. Some bet on their own games; some allegedly physically abuse their significant others, and some allegedly try picking up women who aren’t of age.
However, it’s less common for a vandalism allegation to surface in the league, and it’s even rarer for it to involve a superstar of Thompson’s caliber.
Luckily for fans, this report isn’t even the slightest bit true. It turns out that X’s Grok AI picked up the wrong signals from specific tweets.
It talks about how the forward went on to throw bricks at some Sacramento houses. In turn, some users are calling the authorities to report the vandalism. Users or frustrated fans all lightheartedly made these.
This was a response to his performance against the Sacramento Kings. It’s about how he missed all 10 shots during the game. Consequently, the Golden State Warriors lost the matchup by quite a margin.
To anyone out of the loop, throwing a brick means “missing a shot, especially ones that bounce off the rim or backboard.”
However, the AI picked this up as an official report and even stated that Thompson hasn’t given a statement yet. Moreover, it also says that “individuals are shaken, but no injuries were reported.” There was no motive for the vandalism.
Fans All Relish In The Comedic Turn Of Events
As always, the fans and users are quick to jump onto the joke.
There were no homes in Sacramento being bricked by the legendary Warriors forward. However, it makes a funny joke that users will bring up for years against the war on AI.
