Golden State Warriors forward Juan Toscano-Anderson was asked about his experience playing alongside Stephen Curry. The young NBA player responded with lavish praise for the superstar point guard. Opening up on the subject, Tuscano-Anderson compared Curry to another sporting legend, Mike Tyson.

“It’s like you’re getting into a street fight and you’ve got Mike Tyson on your side. Of course you’re going to have all the confidence in the world because you know Mike Tyson is knocking people out.”

Tuscano-Anderson also commended his teammate, calling him the best basketball in the world today. As many would attest to, he gives his team a tremendous advantage towards success on a nightly basis and has changed the game with his style of play.

The Warriors currently stand atop the NBA with a league-best 13-2 record. With Stephen Curry enjoying an early MVP campaign, he’s led his team towards exceeding expectations. Their performance coming without Klay Thompson and James Wiseman only leaves to question how much better they may become as the year progresses further.

The legend of Stephen Curry

Stephen Curry has already clinched his spot in the basketball Hall of Fame and has established himself among the greatest players in NBA history. This became clear during his back-to-back MVP run in 2015 and ’16. In the latter year, he led the league in scoring and set multiple records in the process. For his efforts, he became the first-ever unanimously elected league MVP.

Beyond that, Curry has also garnered playoff successes in his time, winning three NBA titles with the Warriors. Their wins in 2015, ’17, and ’18 helped establish Golden State as a dynasty during the late 2010s. He has influenced other teams and players into adapting their approach to the game entirely through his performance. In part because of these reasons, the Warriors’ recent fall from grace has barely dented Curry’s legacy. And as we stand today, the team may reprise their dominance again in short order.
