Goran Dragic‘s first year with the Miami Heat already had Udonis Haslem on his side for the wildest reason. After eating an elbow from Al Horford, a piece of his tooth fell off. However, that wasn’t the only time his tooth was chipped. The first time was when they played against the Detroit Pistons. In the latter situation, he disliked the referee’s reaction, and Dragic threw the dislodged tooth at him.

The locker room chemistry improved severely after the three-time NBA champion saw his teammate throw a tooth at the referee. They reminisce on the funny moment on Haslem’s podcast, The OGs Show.

It’s funny that it happened twice, once against the Pistons and another against the Atlanta Hawks.

This was the moment when Haslem started liking the team’s new guard. He finds his antics funny, and that is enough to get on the big man’s good side.

Haslem: This motherf–ker got his tooth knocked out. Was it Atlanta?

Dragic: Atlanta and Detroit. Detroit when I got it then I throw it to the ref.

Haslem: He threw his tooth at the ref! That’s when I said I like this motherf–ker. This motherf–ker a goon.

The retired Heat player goes into more detail about how the situation went down. The referee wasn’t calling the foul even when there was apparent physical damage. Dragic eventually got tired of it and threw the tooth at him.

“I was dribbling and the guy hit me with his elbow. I’m like, “Oh, god damn it.’ So I spit the tooth in my hand and I showed the ref, ‘Motherf–ker, call the foul.’ And the throw the tooth at him.”

It’s not the only time the player from Miami lost a tooth during a game. It was also a similar experience, where another player elbowed him. This time, it was Horford while Dragic was defending him.

While the first situation has no video to cement the funny situation, this one does.

Ultimately, the 37-year-old spent seven years with Miami. He even helped them get to the NBA finals. However, they lost to the LeBron James-led Los Angeles Lakers.

While he may not have walked away with a ring, he found himself a friendship through quite unusual circumstances.
