Paul George and Kawhi Leonard are pretty impressed with James Harden‘s performance. This is especially true after their new teammate scored half of the Indiana Pacers‘ points all by himself in the fourth quarter.
Paul George And Kawhi Leonard Gaze At Harden’s Greatness
After the game, both Los Angeles Clippers players had nothing but positive words about their point guard. Joey Linn details their words on his X (formerly Twitter) account.
George reminisces about going against him during his Houston Rockets, Brooklyn Nets, and Philadelphia 76ers days. Now, he’s grateful to be on Harden’s side when he finds his offensive rhythm.
Imagine how much of a defensive nightmare the three-time scoring champ could be if even the four-time All-Defensive participant complains about him.
“That’s vintage. That’s James right there. I remember those days of having to matchup against that. Once he gets going, he’s the best at creating space and creating off the dribble. Watching it on his side now, it’s fun to watch.”
Paul George
Leonard echoed a similar sentiment. The 10-time All-Star put on so much of a show that he made the forward feel like a spectator.
Nevertheless, he was still a happy and impressed spectator.
Furthermore, he also reminisces about the time he had to defend and face him as a rival like George.
“It was very entertaining. It was like I paid for some seats tonight. I’m happy to be on this side of him being hot. I’ve seen it a lot being on the opposing team. But tonight it was amazing to watch.”
Kawhi Leonard
Harden’s impressive performance of 21 points in one quarter even excited Leonard, who hopped up and down the court.
He Made How Many Threes?!
Harden shot seven for eight in the fourth quarter. Seven of those were three-pointers and he made six of those attempts. That’s a whopping 85.7 percent of his three-point attempts made. He scored 21 points, more than half of the Pacers’ team total of 33.
He helped the Clippers create a massive lead against them, ending it in a landslide of 151-127.
The Clippers are now on an eight-game streak, three of which were won with 20-point leads.
Meanwhile, the Sixers won six of their last eight games. Seemingly, both teams are thriving, which begs the question: Who won the trade?
