Marcus Skeet, a 16-year-old from England, raised £3,053 in April for mental health. That is a significant increase from his initial goal of £250, and it seems that he’s not done with it.

Marcus Skeet Ran A Mile Everyday In April For Mental Health

Skeet chose to run a mile every day for April to raise awareness for mental health. His tweet in March showcased his plans with a link to the GoFundMe page, which would use the money to donate to Mind, a nonprofit organization centered on mental health. Little did he know how far he’d go with his daily mile run and how it would touch people’s hearts.

Not only did he achieve his goal, but he smashed it by a mile and more! Throughout his journey, he earned a total of £3,053 and even created connections that helped spread awareness even more.

He even reached television as ITV interviewed him to talk about his daily run.

He never fails to update X (formerly Twitter) about his daily run, and he’s been consistent since day one. He always takes a selfie with a big smile, a video, and proof for every tweet he posts. Moreover, he even ran with the Hardest Geezer on the last day of his challenge. That’s the same man who ran the length of Africa to raise over £1M for The Running Charity and Sandblast.

The Legend Has More Plans

Skeet wants to keep running for mental health. However, he’s upping the stakes by running five kilometers (3.1 miles) daily for May.

Why is he doing this? He talks about losing his friends due to deteriorating mental health, and he wants to help change that. Meanwhile, the internet happily cheers him on as he smiles and “plods” on his journey.
